The Eden Project

Outside Newquay in Cornwall, England, The Eden Project has brought back its successful outdoor ice skating risk with a new glacier theme open until February 2012. Admission prices are generally £5 for adults and £3 for children with admission to The Eden Project not included.

Its prominent role in English history includes becfoming the prison of the Princes in the Tower in the late 15th century and as home of the Royal Mint. The well-known Beefeater guards of the Tower can not be guaranteed to be found skating outdoors on the Ice Rink.

The ice skating risk itself is a temporary structure and adverse local weather may affect availability of skating at Hampton Court Palace outside London England.

Kew Gardens, London

Associated with Tropical Extravaganza, Conservation and Education, Kew Gardens Ice Rink is back this winter season 2011-2012 boasting capacity for 250 outdoor skaters per session on its 1,000-square-metre rink set up in front of the historical botanical Temperate House. Open to visitors beyond dusk who wish to skate, Kew Gardens' trees are floodlit for atmospheric edges through the outdoor ice. Adult skating prices are £13.90 with concessions charged £11.90 and accompanied under-17s able to enjoy free outdoor skating at Kew.
